In September 2019, all ISDN connections will begin to be cut off in line with the shift to the National Broadband Network (NBN).
Don’t let the end of ISDN get in the way of business
If your business is currently using an ISDN-based phone system, you can avoid disruptions by switching to a new line sooner rather than later.
Switching from ISDN to a new connection can take around 4-6 weeks, depending on the scale of the network involved. Note also that certain areas may be cut off early if NBN has already been rolled out there, so it’s best to act fast.

When exactly will I be cut off?
Disconnections will start in September and will be complete by 2022. The exact date of disconnection for any given area depends on when the NBN is rolled out there.
Will it affect my business?
If you begin your switch to a new connection well ahead of your disconnection date, you’ll experience minimal interruptions to your work.
